Nothing beats a down comforter if you're looking to add lightweight warmth to your bedding ensemble. Although bedding comforters are often filled with polyester fiberfill, we recommend down fill for its ability to trap heat and be lightweight at the same time. Polyester fills simply cannot exactly mimic down. Down comforters should be used with a comforter cover or under a coverlet to protect them since they are not easy wash. If you do need to wash your down comforter, we recommend dry cleaning by a company very experienced with down products.
